Director - Supply Chain (Engineering & Maintenance)

As the Director of Supply Chain, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize warehouse and materials supply chain operations to ensure the seamless and efficient flow of materials necessary for the airline's operations. You will play a critical role in driving cost-effective inventory management, maintaining high levels of product availability, and implementing best practices to enhance overall supply chain performance. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering strong relationships with suppliers, implementing strategic sourcing initiatives, and establishing robust inventory control processes to support operational needs. Ultimately, your efforts will directly contribute to the airline's ability to provide exceptional service and maintain cost-effective and reliable supply chain operations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the airline's warehouse and materials supply chain to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management to achieve departmental goals.
• Oversee procurement, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, and supplies to support aircraft maintenance, repair, and operation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains within the supply chain, and implement best practices to enhance operational performance.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, monitor performance, and cultivate strategic partnerships to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Develop and maintain KPIs to measure and report on supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices in all aspects of warehouse and materials management, including hazardous materials handling, storage, and transportation.
• Act as a liaison with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the supply chain, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Professional Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior management role, preferably within aviation or airline industry.
• Proven track record of optimizing supply chain processes and improving operational efficiency while maintaining high quality and service standards.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, operations management, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or similar credentials are advantageous.
