About the Company

Riyadh Air (RX), headquartered in the Saudi Capital, is the new national airline that’s shaping the future of flying. It seeks to lead the aviation industry by transforming Saudi Arabia into a global aviation and trade hub – a digitally native airline that will connect the kingdom to more than 100 destinations.

About the Role

Are you ready to shape the learning architecture of our digitally native airline and its workforce?

We are seeking a visionary and commercially astute Director of Talent Development to lead our enterprise-wide Learning & Development strategy thereby building a future ready, safety centered and high-performing organisation.

Yours is a role responsible for building a future-ready workforce that strengthens safety, performance, and long-term growth. You are expected to oversee high-impact learning delivery using blended, digital, simulation-based, and experiential methods tailored to aviation.

Partnering closely with senior leaders, you will ensure leadership depth, regulatory compliance, and workforce readiness across all functions.

Importantly, your remit includes integrating leadership development, safety/compliance learning, operational training, and digital capability building into a unified enterprise framework. Further, you will design and implement a fully integrated airline learning ecosystem spanning safety, regulatory, operational, leadership, and digital capabilities.

Central to your success in this role is the ability to own and manage the Talent Development budget, ensuring strategic ROI. Moreover, you will track and report KPIs including bench strength, capability readiness, and program effectiveness.

You will also ensure regulatory alignment with key aviation bodies including the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), integrating compliance requirements into enterprise learning frameworks and operational governance.

If you are passionate about building future-ready leaders, strengthening safety culture, and shaping capability at scale, we invite you to lead the next chapter of our talent journey.

About You

Degree qualified, you will demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of sound leadership experience within an L&D or Talent Development capacity interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within the medium to long term.

We’d love to hear from you even more if you are a bilingual Saudi national with proven leadership experience.

This is your opportunity to shape the future of air travel. Bring your best and show us why you can own this position within Riyadh Air.
